I understand you are impressed by the inventions that has made life so much easier for us modern women, an example being those new packages of just-add-water-cake-mix.
But one thing I don't think will change within the near future is the concept of monotheism. That you're supposed to only believe in one god, you know.
Thus, to thank both god AND Allah seems a bit odd. I mean: Either you believe in one or the other, or you believe that both are actually the same. Or you don"t believe at all. I'm sorry.

Well, she can actually thank Allah, God AND Yahweh without stepping on anyone's toes, as these are on ly three different names for the same deity. Christians, muslims and jews believe in the SAME god, hence they are all referred to as "Abrahamic religions". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abrahamic_religions

Thank you for elaborating further on my point. I know they are just different names for the same deity. I'm not religious so maybe I don't know that much about it, but again:
I do believe saying God AND Allah is a bit wrong since he/her/it actually is the same god. That's the whole idea with the monotheistic "Abrahamic religions".
#1 of Maimonides' 13 principles of faith states:
"I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, blessed be His Name, is the Creator and Guide of everything that has been created; He alone has made, does make, and will make all things."
The shahadah, the first of Islams five pillars says:
"I testify that there is none worthy of worship except God and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
The first commandment in the Christian bible states:
"You shall have no other gods before Me."
